Siri functionality has gained enormous popularity since day one of its appearance on the iPhone 4s. For “some reason”, the Siri service is not officially available for the owners of original iPhone 4.

Whatever the reasoning behind Apple creating this limitation is besides the point here, a hacker named f3v3r has compiled a detailed tutorial of how a user of an iPhone 4 can make  it Siri compliant.

Engadget has got this story first, basing it on a Russian source NoMobile.ru. They obviously used some online translation service, like Google Translate. Or something else. Which actually looks quite good when discussing specs for a device in question: “1920×1200, 10,1 дюйма” was translated perfectly into 1920×1200, 10.1″ screen for this Acer A700 intercepted in Russia when on its way to CES. All other claimed by NoMobile.ru specs do look good, too:

Motorola DROID 4 spotted in the wild, dummy unit looks pretty

We don’t really know when the Motorola DROID 4 will hit the market for Verizon customers but original leaks suggested a mid December launch that was pushed back at the last minute. Nothing was confirmed so we can’t say for sure. Either way we are still waiting and would love to get our hands on one. In the meantime it appears our friends from TechnoBuffalo were able to do just that — but with a dummy unit that will probably be on store shelves soon.
