Adobe Systems is reported to be increasing its efforts in the Indian market, with the intention to “work closely with the creative and developer ecosystem in India to help them build rich digital experiences for multiple devices, screens and platforms.” The company has also inked a number of agreements with partners to deliver “highly interactive mobile apps for Indian consumers.” Ben Forta, director of platform evangelism for the company, said that “with a strong legacy of driving innovation across the web with technologies like Flash and Flex, Adobe looks forward to working with the Indian developer community to equip them with the right tools and skill sets to build the richest possible Internet and mobile experiences for Indian consumers.”

Apparently, Adobe has partnered with transport company redBus, to create an app which enables customers to book bus tickets for thousands of routes across India. It is also working with Standard Chartered Bank to launch a mobile banking application called “Breeze.” And it has partnered with finance software company Perfios to create an app which enables users to monitor their personal finances.

Last week, Adobe held its Flash Platform Summit 2011 in Bangalore. The event was described as the largest Flash developer meet outside of North America.
