U-Boat Worx Launches Mini-Submersible Private Charter Fleet

If you love deep diving, then you will be glad to know that U-Boat Worx has finally launched its private charter program worldwide for their deep diving mini-submersibles. Before you get too excited, let me tell you a thing or two about this U-Boat endeavor.

U-Boat Worx team will consult with its clients in order to identify which submersible is ideal and will cater to the customer’s needs. After the identification, the submersible will be transported to the choice destination of the client and crew from the Netherlands-based company will also come along with the needed technical or support equipment, and also transport to and from the launch site. An itinerary can be recommended for the underwater sightseers.

Two models will be available at first for the charter fleet—the C-Explorer 2 and the C- Quester 3. The former has two-seater capacity while the latter has three including the pilot. U-Boat’s mini-submersibles have air conditioning, 360-degree transparent acrylic pressure hulls, and a maximum operating depth of 100 meters (328 feet).

Some additions to the charter fleet will be joing the C-Explorer 2 and C-Quester 3 later this year and one of these is the C-Explorer 5 which has a capacity of 5 people and an operating depth of 300 meters or 984 feet. The three mentioned mini-submersibles have an operational time of up to eight hours.

If you are interested, be ready to shell out €75,000 for one month of charter. This includes insurance, the crew, parts and shark bait.
