Motorola’s super-charged RAZR MAXX is coming to the UK and will be available from mid-May.

Featuring a truly colossal battery, the RAZR MAXX will give punters up to a whopping 17.61 hours of talk time, according to Motorola.

The slightly larger battery that all these additional hours of talk time are derived from means the handset isn’t quite as thin as its predecessor, the Motorola RAZR. But at just 8.99mm the RAZR MAX can hardly be considered chunky.

Specs-wise, the RAZR MAXX features 1GB RAM combined with a dual-core 1.2GHz processor, 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Advanced display, Android 2.3 and the company’s cloud-based service, MotoCast.

At present there are no details in place for an update to Android 4.0, aka Ice Cream Sandwich.

‘Since we re-imagined the iconic RAZR brand, the Motorola RAZR has wowed consumers across the globe by combining the pinnacle of design with mind-blowing power,’ said Victoria McManus, UK marketing director of Motorola Mobility.

She added: ‘RAZR MAXX builds on those same principles, delivering an incredible battery life that is perfect for people who want to push their smartphone to the limits and banish the low battery beep to history.’
