If you follow the Inside BlackBerry® Help Blog, you may have seen a post I did previously about how to identify which version of BlackBerry® Device Software you are currently using. Now, if that post led you to ask yourself, “What version of this BlackBerry smartphone app/game am I using?” then you’re in the right place! Today I’d like to show you how to identify the version of an app or game that is installed on a BlackBerry smartphone. This is good information to know if you are troubleshooting or need assistance on a specific app.

Inside @BlackBerryHelp: Get to Know Social Support Team Member Cynthia!

How to use Universal Search

Being able to find information on your BlackBerry® smartphone is really easy thanks to the Universal Search feature built into BlackBerry® 6 and BlackBerry® 7 OS smartphones. Universal Search is designed to allow you to search for help, contacts, documents, files, photos and other information right from the BlackBerry smartphone home screen.

Today I’d like to provide an overview of how Universal Search works and why you should start using it to help you stay on top of almost everything!

How to use Social Feeds 2.0

One of the free, built-in apps that I love on the BlackBerry® 7 OS is Social Feeds 2.0 – a single app that aggregates content such as Twitter®, Facebook®, RSS feeds and podcasts. Some of the features I really like include the ability to mark items for follow-up, searching within Social Feeds 2.0 for specific feed content, and enhanced feed integration to let me perform Facebook or Twitter actions right from the Social Feeds 2.0 app. I can quickly see what’s going on in the world without having to open several different apps on my BlackBerry® smartphone!

With that being said, let’s take a look at how to get started with Social Feeds 2.0.
