DROID Bionic update leaks – another Gingerbread build

Another official build from Motorola and Verizon for the popular DROID Bionic has been leaked recently. Sadly we are still waiting for the official Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Bionic, and now that seems to be pretty far off. When we are still seeing Gingerbread builds leak, that can’t be a good thing for the Android 4.0 ICS progress.

Acer Iconia Tab A700 spotted at the FCC

Like high-powered smartphones themselves, Android tablets are on the cusp of a considerable leap forward. A big part of that will be resolution, and Acer hopes to be leading the pack with the Iconia Tab A700. The latest in the Iconia series doesn’t have an official US launch date yet, but it’s been spotted hanging out at the FCC by Liliputing, which means that it can’t be too far off. Any takers?

Samsung Retail Store headed to Canada this summer

Samsung is aiming to open their first actual brick and mortar retail store later this summer in Canada. It appears that Samsung will be opening up shop in Burnaby, British Columbia and like stores such as Apple will have an extensive set of demonstrations and hands-on booths for many of their top selling products.

Gartner: Samsung makes up 40% of Android smartphone sales

For the moment, Samsung and Joss Whedon have something in common: they’re both on top of the world. After shipping more smartphones than any other company last quarter, a new report from Gartner says that four out of every ten Android smartphones comes from Samsung. Considering that Android is indisputably the top smartphone OS on the planet, that’s no fleeting statistic.

LG Eclipse 4G LTE spotted in the flesh

BriefMobile spotted the latest of The Now Network’s new devices and got a candid photo of the LG Eclipse 4G LTE that leaves nothing to the imagination. The flagship-level device is expected to his retailers in the latter half of this year.

HTC and Apple ordered to lawsuit settlement talks by Delaware court

It looks like the legal system might be starting to get sick of all these lawsuits for IP and trademarks as of late because another round of settlement talks has just been ordered. The United States District for the District of Delaware has issued orders for Apple and HTC to sit down for some friendly conversation and settlement talks instead of drawing this out like a bad divorce.
